I strive very hard to experience as many games as I can from as wide a range as possible. I platted God of War III. I maxed my cheevos in Vanquish and both Mass Effects. I'll follow Shinji Mikami into the grave. 242 stars twice. Gears of War 3 is my looked forward to co-op game of the generation. I just bought the first Uncharted. Blah blah blah blah blah. THis is the part where I continue to extoll on my enormous purported sense of non-bias, shit-eating grin plastered on my face all the while.
But I'm going to go with whichever console has Zelda and Mario. There are no other choices to be made. If I can only pick one, I'll pick the Nintendo console every time.
When I was young I had a Genesis instead of an SNES. I didn't play Link to the Past until 2002 or so.
Never again.
