Just a question... did you used the Symbian^3 on N8???

Except the old web browser (will receive a update PR 2.0 next month) the OS changed a lot... to better... making it on pair or better than iOS or Android.

Like I said... 30% of market today is Nokia Symbian... and now these market will be splitted and Nokia will be lose more market to other companies that offer the better hardware.

I can be wrong... and I'm hoping for being... but Nokia for me nevermore.

I did not use Symbian 3...E71 came with S60. There is a good chance of Symbian 3 was a lot better, but Nokia would not be scrambling to dump it if it was competitive.

Otherwise, I don't think people buying Nokia phones said "I am buying this because it has symbian". Nokia has great hardware, and great market penetration in Europe.  There really isn't anything Symbian OS can do that other OS systems can't.

Once the new Nokia phones come out, if they are as compelling hardware wise as they used to be and competitevly priced, they will sell. Ovi store will be here, Ovi maps are being integrated...What else do you get on Nokias phones that you wouldn't on other phones? On top of that you get xbox live integration, MS office integration, Bing support and other microsoft goodies which you never would on a nokia phone.

What I get with Nokia phones errr Symbian?

Just for explain one think I didn't buy Nokia because Nokia... I buy Nokia because  Symbian... so I almost bought a Sony VIVAZ because it came with Symbian but Nokia N8 was lanunched and... the company doesn't matter to me but the OS yes.

Now I can list all the thinks N8 had and the other don't... somethings:

- Alarm works even with phone off or with low battery (not enough to turn on)? Symbian does.
- USB Host (any USB device works)? Symbian does.
- Full HDMI support? Symbian does.
- One-click connectivity (switching automatically from cellular to Wireless LAN)? Symbian does.
- True real multithread? Symbian does.
- Performance (not need a super dual core cortex A8)? Symbian does.

And more... much more.
