You know almost no country that went in battle in Afganistan won. The entire U.S. intervention in Afghanistan has been a waste of time. Afghanistan is unwinnable and will probably never change.

I disagree, if we had different intentions, the outcome would have been much different. If the war had been a full scale invasion a la Iraq, Afghanistan would have been in a much better position by now.

Well, that's my view.

If the point was to crush the Taliban forces into fleeing then the US could have won that war long ago. The point though is that we are playing where is Waldo, some CIA reports indicate Bin Laden may be in Pakistan.

If you should know anything about Afganistan it's that after the US leaves they will have a booming glass economy.

There is another side to the story of course, between Iraq and Afganistan the US presence is wanted by a majority of the pro decocracy camps. In Iraq they even built a monument as thanks to US soldiers for keeping them safe.

It's going to hurt them more than us if we leave pretty much. It's almost like that cat you gave a little food to and it trys to follow you home. =/

Right now though in Afganistan the Taliban are waiting us out, they know we are packing up and they are just waiting. The people over there are scared to hell only because they know that old saying is going to be true once more. "Empires come and go but the Taliban is here to stay." To them there is no hope.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
