No way! Just, hard to justify spending a lot on a handheld.

What if it was 300?  You gotta admit, for what people are expecting and the specs, that's pretty damn reasonable, no?

It could be reasonable to some, but not me. Why? Well I don't own a PS3, and PS3 already has a bunch of great games and features and a blu-ray player. I could spend that $300 on a PS3 or an untried, new piece of hardware, that only might have great games and a great future...or could fail. I like to play it safe with my money. $300 for any new system, especially a handheld, is just too big of a gamble IMO.

It certainly won't fail.  It will do at least as good as the PSP I'd wager.  With the second analog stick, the games library can only be better than the PSP's.  It already has a Call of Duty lined up.  Kojima will probably make a Metal Gear, etc.  And it's not like it's fair to equate its price with the PS3's, the PS3 has been out for a long time andis cheaper now.  I mean, the 3DS is 250.  The PSP2 being 50 bucks more would be amazing given its features.  Anyone who is squeamish about this price must not love the 3DS's either.

All I'm saying, is that too a lot of people, I'd guess the majority of people, $300 is an amount of money that is not easily parted with for something that is simply for entertainment, as any game system inherently is. If I only had $300 for one system, the NGP and yes even the 3DS would be a hard sell with Wii's and PS3's out there.

BTW, I certainly didn't mean to insinuate that the NGP will not do well, it looks amazing, and if it gets some great games behind, I'm sure it'll do great.
