Why isn't our Governments putting pressure on Afghanistan?

I was searching the news on Yahoo News. I found a couple articles about it and freaked. I got a reply from my Member of Parliament today saying that the Canadian Government is aware of the situation and is doing all it can to prevent the execution. Though I haven't heard anything on the news about it (local or national) I would hope that if it happens that our governments condem it majorily. But I should hope our Governments can pressure the Afghan Government.

Email your members of parliament, or what ever they have in your country (Congress) or such. We need to do something.

 

Probably a chat with the Ambassador of the USA to say USA should do something about it..>_>..
