I can only tell from what I see. My demographics are of a 28 year old man in Buenos Aires. I wouldn't really know how is it among youngsters.
As far as I see, they gaming community in Argentina is as divided as anywhere else among the three home consoles. Pirate gaming is a classic in our country because of prohibitive prices and a culture that's very flexible with intelectual property. Therefore, the Wii and the X360 are quite popular.
Something very interesting happened with the PS3, with a small yet tight community, because of the need of changing games as they are very expensive. It reminds me of my N64 days. Now that people are able to flash the PS3 the community might loose many members, but hey, that's how it is.
