Because we just wanna fucking leave already!
Unlike Iraq, Afghanistan is more or less unwinnable.
In iraq we weren't really looking for anyone so we just kicked everyones ass. In Afghanistan, we were looking for Bin Laden and wanted to get all the terrorists... so we worked with the local Warlods and Karzai... and in general since the warlords are still in power EVERYTHING is messed up. We'd basically have to start all over to get things to work right, and even then who knows if a full democracy would think differently.
It really feels like in 10-15 years... Afghanistan will be the war we regret... while public opinion will turn on Iraq and that will be the one we'll be happy with.
