What combos though? Is there something I dont know? In Ninja Gaiden, you see a huge list of moves/combos for each weapon when you go to the menu. No such thing in GoW. Just keep pressing square and the occasional L1 square for AoE damage...just wasn't my cup of tea. I'll get around to finishing it...someday. Switching weapons for more combos is something DMC 3 did very well and that one had a move list as well. |
Theres a move list in GoW III, it doesn't have much moves, but they are meant to be stringed into each other. You are supposed to string certain moves together for a satisfying experience. Hence the "Hits" meter on the screen. This means that you are free to create your own combos instead of memorizing a 14 button sequence.
This means that the casual players can mash buttons all they want, and the more hardcore can use an extremely user friendly combat system (which isn't as deep as Ninja Gaiden or DMC) to do some interesting stuff.
I don't mean to brag, but I'm awesome at this game because I pull of insane stuff using the moves that are available to the player. Mashing buttons will mean the gameplay will bore you.
