meh, I don't care that much. On my 37" I can't even tell the difference once I'm on the couch, on my 46" blu-ray is definitely better. Netflix HD also looks much better than SD. Would I never buy a DVD again, no. I notice a difference but once the movie is more than a minute or two in, I forget about HD or SD and just get into the movie. Instead, to me a surround sound is what is extremely important for my movie experience.
At the local flea market, the Blu-Rays have always been cheaper than DVDs because there is so much less demand for the blu-ray version. I agree with the above poster that digital media is better than a disc anyway.
