Haha, I knew this was coming. I've been accuse dof the same elsewhere but you see, I'm really not an FPS player at heart despite what my kz2 stats portray. I've just gotten accustomed to having an MP FPS on the side to keep me entertained even in slow game seasons. This FPS has been Kz2 for the past 2 years. A real FPS fan would probably have gotten more games but I haven't bought any.
For the above reason, I usually start my MP FPS games a "slow" i.e sucky. I started CoD4 with a KDR of 0.9 and fared even worse with an 0.7 on KZ2As you can see, with how much I sucked at the start of KZ2, I should've quit. WHy didn't I? Game was too damned addictive. I've now burnt 88days of my life on KZ2's MP and many in the community call me a "beast" but it took me 20 days, yes 20 days to get good.
This is not the case with KZ3. I started off with a 1.50 KDR this time but after a couple hours, I'm already tired of the MP and just can't play it anymore. Flaws:
1. The biggest dissapointment of all is the lack of custom games. Did anyone complain about this in KZ2? No. WHy did GG get rid of this? that feature made KZ@ by far the best FPS this gen IMO. If you didn't like "x" feature, you could play a game without it, you want pistols only, you got it, bodycount only? you got it, 4v4? you got it, etc. WHy did this freedom have to go? People who've been playing shooters with matchmaking wouldn't mind but I just cant play those anymore.
2. As an off-shoot of point 1, game modes are too short and this time, we can't edit them. TDM aka bodycount aka, Guerilla warfare is 5 MINS LONG! 5 pathetic mins....I probably spend the same amount of time watching the loading screen as I spend playing. Operations is just a gimmick mode that will surely get old quick as its just cnh snd with the same cutscenes over and over again. Warzone is the only viable mode but the individual objectives are next to impossible to do under the time limit so in most cases, the time is up before you can even get to the action.
3. Brutal melee. You know you have a problem when it's better to run up to someone to melee quickly instead of actually shooting.
4. TSPs. Spawn camping was bad in kz2 when you had n00b tacs. It's worse in kz3 now that everyone knows where the spawns are. Some of my best killstreaks are from camping spawns...thats the best way to find people anyway. It doesn't help that 2 out of 3 TSPs are close to the ISA base. When ou're up against a superior team who manages to capture all 3 TSPs, its base r4pe till gameover...no way out in kz3.
5. F'd weapon distribution and other things. This is mostly because of the fact that the marksman has an assault rifle now...wtf? This one, I just cn't comprehend. Someone still needs to explain how they came up with the ingenius idea. These guys can scramble the radar and stay invisible too. They also have a silenced machine pistol so their cloak never gets exposed and can camp corners invisible to melee you when you walk by...yay! The most selfish class gets the biggest upgrade.Dont get me started on the infiltrator.
6. No recoil, no bullet spread = super accurate weapons. Add in ribbon gimmicks and you have a twitch shooter now. It's almost a first to spot issue ala COD now. No toggling bullets, no controlled bursts, just zoom in and hold R1. Guns like the STA52SE are pretty much 1-burst kill ala cod4's m16 and MW2's FAMAS.
7. Kz2 was an action packed game. KZ3 = hide and seek. When I spawned in kz2, I instantly knew where the action was and ran there immediately. In kz3, I'm always searching for the action only to get melleed in the back or sniped before getting there. For this one, I can't put my finger on exactly whats wrong but somethings just isn't right. Could be the reduced player count but I just dont know. It certainly takes chunks away from the "fun factor" for me.
7. The controls. This one is not such a big deal as I could get used to it but its just sad when a company abandons their original vision that they defended for so long. It's like those of us who stuck with them took a kick in the face but that one is philosophical. The controls seem more responsive to many now but are actually worse than kz2's in one regard many may not notice 'cept they played its predecessor in depth: for some reason, it feels like one ate a bag of snails when trying to move and shoot at the same time with an automatic weapon while in kz2, you stayed light on your feet.
//end rant. Kudos to anyone who read the whole thing.

damn you nitpicked a lot. you also have very silly points.
|
It's very easy to brush off another person's opinion as "silly"...even a 2 year old could probably type as much but can you, kind and knowledgeable good sir, explain exactly which, what and how my points are silly?

well i have to take a shower, then i have to go to dinner, so il try my best to keep it short and nice.
-1- agree
-2- i agree about guerilla warafare, but operations isnt a gimmick, its kinda like domination and search and destroy mixed together. game mode is amazing, requires lots of strategies and team play. also im pretty sure that every map will have diffrent objectives. when it comes to warzone, you have enough time, unless you have noobs on your team. also in some casses such as assasination you can start searching for the target before the time starts which helps.
-3- you have the normal melee, brutal melee is basically the same thing, i dont know how it makes it worse. to accomplish a brutal melee you must be in range of the normal one, even closer sometimes, and if people are running up to you instead of shooting then you should have no problem killing them.
-4- what do you mean? the only instance where i had spawn camping where was this noob was staying in our spawn instead of going for the objective, and considering people dont spawn at the same place he didnt even get one kill, what he did was make his team loose. i dont play much guerilla warfare, but in warzone and operations i never had a problem with spawn camping. when your coming up a superior team ofcourse your going to loose,in modes like warzone and operations if they spaw camped then theyr dumasses. spawn camping doesnt help the enemy team except in gw, its useless and you can use it to your advantage.
-5- lol, no offense but you must really be bad at the game, your complaining about the infiltrator? the easiest class to kill, they come at you thinking theyr god, all you have to do is point your aim at them and shoot. also considering you know the spawns of the enemy you can figure out if hes an ally or not. like in operations, choosing an infiltrator in operations wont help you a lot, any smart killer can kill them. when it comes to the marksmen i never had problems with their cloaks as you can spot them because your cursor turns red, when it comes to their weapons it could be unfair but i have insufficient experience with them to talk about that.
-6- theirs is recoil, their is bullet spread, maybe not as much as other games, but its their, the in ribbon gimmicks dont do anything, i dont even feel their diffrence, they are gimmick but they dont make the game bad. its just a useless add on.
-7- yes kz3 isnt action packed, your should really stop playing guerilla warfare, your complaining about cod and all you play is guerilla warfare? shame on you. warzone and operations are action packed and they put adreline in you, running against the clock planting the last explosive almost their until suddently you die. thats the beauty of operations. also i have to add i play on the lebanese servers where their are max per game 16 players if im lucky. you have it all wrong, it took time to find action in kz2, in kz3 its just their, all you have to do is navigate the map appropiatly and not go hiding of in spaces. and snipers are no problem, sniping is hard in the game and we barely see them.
-7- i agree that they removed the uniqueness of kz2 in a way, but the controls are still unique and you can feel the weight. you cant expect the franchise to improve if the devs arent being satisfied sales wise.
from what it seems, all of our points have to do with who we are playing and probably the modes(considering you complained about snipers, while i never saw them) other then that you cant expect the mp to be perfect, all mp's have problems, spawn camping can be found anywhere. point is you should play a game of operations with me and discover what kz3's mp is all about.
