I used Enslaved as an example, not as a generalisation of all titles with colour. Part of my argument that I forgot to add was that people always talk about how everything is an FPS and they are all brown and gray, yet as you've shown, there are plenty of colourful titles that get released every year. I have nothing against what the buyers buy, I'm against the people whining about the lack of colour, innovation, JRPGS or whatever on the market, but then never go out of their way to pick up any of titles that satisfy their apparent demands. |
I can agree with you there, I just don't think Enslaved is a particularly good example. Especially when colorful action adventure games like Uncharted and Assassin's Creed (not so much colorful for this one, but it isn't drab) can sell really well and be loved by critics.
