Yeah conspiracy, Capcom out to make an example so do not have to make anymore games for the Wii, it isn't just that the Wii cannot do them well or even at all, Capcom even willing to lose money to do make this sabotage happen.  Lets ignore MH3 that was design for Wii so will be decent on it.

This is Capcom, they love to port.  If they could have they would have.

I don't think it was sabotage or any conspiracy, just unfortunate decision making.

Capcom even said after seeing Cavia's work with DSC (with it's high quality models, widespread bump mapping, specular highlights and prebaked HDR), maybe a Wii version of RE5 could've been possible after all.  At that point it was obviously too late though, it's always easy to retroactively say they should've done something but at the time things just worked out differently.

Yeah it is good to see Capcom attempt to market DSC worked on some people.

Here's the quote from Capcom USA Product Manager Matt Dahlgren...

“At Resident Evil 5’s launch it was announced that a Wii version was not technically possible. But after some of the work that Cavia has done (with Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles), the producers of Resident Evil 5 over in Japan now think it is possible. Some of the light effects in the South America stage are pretty incredible. Whether it is going to come, I don’t know the answer to that question. But, it has been said that now at least it is possible.”

... seems less like an "attempt to market DSC" and more like a leading comment towards RE5 Wii (which Capcom USA PR was being routinely badgered over, along with SF4 Wii).  I doubt that happens though, not at this point.
