ehh.. Akira and Steamboy huh? Out of his works my favorites are Metropolis/Robotic Angel and Memories, but I won't rate him higher than Miyazaki, or Satoshi Kon, or Mamoru Hosoda (who made a lot of bad franchise movies for Toei, but his last two works were outstanding).
