No offense to the OP but I 100% agree. If you are doing something to benefit your child when it comes to swimming I see no way that this game will help him.

For example, is this game going to enable him to not only perform arm motions but also leg motions? I highly doubt it.

 

Look, you can buy it and play it for the fun, no problem there, but I really think it is the wrong route to take if the intent is only for helping your son to become a more competitive swimmer. There are millions of much better options out there, one of them being an actual swimming pool.

I am saying this as a parent and not as a gamer.

I gotta see the demo, but I'm hoping this game will help.  technique is everything.  My son was fast, but got much faster after taking some lessons.  How you position your arm is very important and I'm hoping this game can help.

And since my son loves swimming and kinect, this game seem perfect.
