From a single player stand point, Reach is slightly better than Black Ops. The visuals and soundtrack are the things that really make Reach good, everything else just makes it feel like Halo, which is fine, but for someone who's not a Halo fan, it isn't that mindblowing. The plot was pretty much non existent and what was left of it was just random and dissapppointing.
Certain parts of the Black Ops campaign absolutely destroys Reach, but then it'll have a chapter that's just boring and poorly designed (Vietnam rampage). The visuals are decent, but kind of generic and the soundtrack can go from making me feel like a badass, to just being so dull that I'll have to switch on my I-Pod. The plot, though sometimes silly, is much better than what Reach had to offer and I'll admit to liking the characters (everyone besides the main) much more than Reach's characters.
I was never much of a COD or Halo fan, but these two new titles have brought me on to the bandwagon and I'm looking forward to the sequels.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
