It's odd that he talks about the iPhone/iPad as closer to NGP than the 3DS is, when the iPhone and iPad are almost identical in real capability to the 3DS. Yes, they have more raw processing power, but most of that goes to managing an entire operating system. The 3DS's two 266MHz processors should allow a similar amount of processing devoted to gaming as the iOS devices. Similarly, the ram on the iPhone/iPad also is largely used by the system's bloated OS, but in this area probably has a genuine advantage. In graphics processing they should be roughly equal.

But yeah, more on the topic of the NGP itself, it's some impressive tech. I'm certainly buying one (in addition to a 3DS), but I won't buy either till there's software I want for them, and that won't be at launch for either system.
