I know NPD hasnt released data yet .But NPD had the PS3 at 2.5 million end november in US alone ,so lets say some 2.8 million in NA .Then Sony says to have sold 1.2 million in US in december .Lets substract some 200K of the last week of november and some 100K due to this being shipped numbers ,lets add the Canada numbers and you have some 3.9 million consoles in NA alone .Add to that 1.7 million for Japan and 3.7 million for Europe and Pal markets and you have a pretty 9.3 million number for 1st january .At the lowest 9.1 million .
