No duh the PSP was a success. Also with such cheap dev costs or course Sega profitted look at the first Sonic Rivals game it broke the million mark and Sonic Rivals 2 almost made half a million sales. Other Sega titles on PSP were also successful, among the many that aren't tracked or were unsuccessful.

In the end Sega sold over 9-million units of software on the PSP which must have been profitable. Also their least successful games must not have lost them all that much money as Sega continued support none the less.
