THREE Fricken' Words(and a letter) : Tales of Graces f

It has made my year for RPGs along with Dark Souls. Not really a fan of Elder Scrolls, though I'll keep an eye on Skyrim.

But seriously. Tales of Graces. Hawt damn. Now all I need to catch back up on my Tales will be Tales of Xillia. I'll be replaying Tales of Vesperia for a fifth timea week before Graces releases.

Is Tales of ... battle system similar to Star Ocean IV ? I only played Eternia so a "bit" diffrent.

It is similar, but imo more refined and better suited for a 'fair' JRPG. In Vesperia you can move in a 3Dimensional plane like Star Ocean, and you have regular slash attacks (which you can aim straight, up, or down) and then special attacks called artes. These can be magic, or special weapon attacks, or really any number of move varying from character to character. they are done just like regular attacks, but with a different button(you still need to aim up, down, left or right to do different attacks) You can also play the game like the old Tales games where it's a 2D plane . . . but to get better advantages on enemies and to dodge its easily to just move around. Also, you can block, which is always nice.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
