I prefer Macs but I'm on Windows XP. My bf has Vista and I fail to see what's new and what makes it so expansive. So it's a big no to me.
Linux is fine for people who write stuff, surf, email... But it's (imo) hard to figure out... I've had much problem trying to install stuff even with instructions and also can't play Sims on it. Dual booting isn't good for my PC either so I just stick to XP.
I've wanted a Mac for a while but I have trouble choosing what I want. XD As for gaming I only play Sims/Sims 2 and emulator games so it's not a problem on Mac at all.
Reason why I prefer Macs: Less frustration, less problems and I just prefer how it works. Also their Mac Mini is so cute and doesn't take up much space, Imacs are all in one goodness and Macbooks are... Macbooks! XD Best Vista laptops. How ironic...
But all I can say is that for the moment I'm happy with my XP computer since it works fine... I wouldn't upgrade to Vista since it's pointless and would suck up all my new added memory and I won't buy a Mac till I'm decided on what I want and have the money to get it.
