PS1 Era.

Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy Tactics

All on one console!

Yeah, but the Anthologies and Chronicles versions were ass.  The loading times on those are sooooooooooooooo incredibly long.  Bringing up the menu takes seconds (which is significant) and moving from screen to screen is just painful because of the loading times.  Those are easily the worst versions of FFIV, FFVI, and Chrono Trigger.

Anyways, for me, and no surprise here, is the SNES era.  The NES era is when it was growing its roots, the PS1 era was when it was really branching out and made some pretty cool leaps in every direction, and the PS2 era was when it lost any sort of soul.  The SNES era though, that's just when it had the best games.  FFV may be a throwaway and FFIV hasn't aged well at all, but FFVI is a masterpiece.
