Fixed.
1. Gamespot was misquoted anyway
2. None of the multiplayer options are final. The one thing shown so far for presentation was drop in/drop out co-op for couch play and nothing else.

What IS confirmed
- There is co-op
- Both off-line and on-line
- 1-2 players on one console 2 other players can join over the net.
Nothing else is truly confirmed as of the moment. However other multiplayer options have been strongly hinted at.
- Shown so far was the modus used mainly for presentation where other players jumped into the first players game to play with him by taking over a companion charachter. Similiar to Fable 2/older console co-op games.
Said mode is still subject to change. And again its pretty clear and hinted at that this will be not the only co-op/multiplayer option.
