It's like buying a dvd player just to play your VHS collection.

DVDs ended up costing less than VHS, so upgrading wasn't a problem.

If they offered PSP games at a reasonable price, plus moving your saves, I wouldn't mind as much, as it would follow the Virtual Console and PSOne Classics model of older games at lower prices.

My comment was more to do with the advancement of technology but still refusing to move on and embrace it.

Well I'm on the convenience issue, which, as mentioned by another poster, goes double for handhelds over home devices.
