why not? I never heard a cell phone break its internal components because it "'vibrates'''..
3DS and NGP should've had something similar too...
The Ds rumbles it just wasnt built into the system, you had to insert a rumble pack into the GBA slot and a game that had rumble support, it really enhanced the gameplay further.
