1. Yup, annoying interruptions while exploring a dungeon.

2. Resident Evil 4 is the big exception. Usually the people you have to escort seem to go for a suicide, but Ashley does a pretty good job in not getting in your way while fighting enemies.

3. Yeah, the item management at the end of the game sucks. But it's Chris who has to fight the last boss, not Claire.

4. That's pretty much what I meant in my post above, but there were other annoying enemies that liked to throw stuff at you.


 I was going to say RE4 had a good escort mission but it really isn't that good in the sense of an escort mission.  Her escort mission is easy because you can clear a small area, tell you to stay put or hide, go on with the level, and then come back and get her.  For the most part doing that doesn't screw you over (there are a few spots you can't leave her) and breaks the point of escort missions.

Of course I actually like that since I hate escort missions.  :-p
