I think people forget this sometimes. That had to be the fiercest battle in the industry. Good ol' 16-bit days!

What is awesome about retro gaming is that you see formal rivals next to each other, and part of a larger offering.  On the Virtual Console, Sega, Nintendo, NEC, SNK, etc... are all there for play.  With Game Room, there is 2600 and Intellivision stuff.  Makes for an interesting look back perspective.  It is like you can then speak of old fanboy wars of battles you engaged in and remember, and it is much more fonder now.  In the heat of the battle, it wasn't.  And when you are on the losing end, you total develop a resentment of the winning side when they display smugness.
