The NGP is tapping into a market far larger than even a Nintendo game can dream.  Iphone type games, and this may be one of the single biggest reasons that Nintendo should be very worried about the NGP in my opinion.

It may tap into that market somewhat but I wouldn't say that they could really take advantage of it considering the size of the NGP, intimidation of non 18-35 y/o gamers due to formfactor and the unknown cost in comparison to the iTouch which is the best current platform to play those games.

The bid differenct though is the whole connectivity environment this thing is bringing with it. No dedicated handheld console in history has brought with it the sheer amount of online features and person to person connectivity that this machine is bringing and I think ALOT of people are overlooking that.
