A separatist group is a group that wants a particular territory to separate from the sovereign nation. It has nothing to do with discrimatin anyone. And they were extremists, because assassination politicians is an extremist gesture. Terrorism is a spectrum, and they were certainly on that spectrum.

They wanted to be seperated from an empire that conquerd and enslaved their land and opressed their citizens. Yeah, big crime. And would you also call all those people who tried to kill Hitler a terrorist? Killing a politician isnt alwyas an terrorist gesture. Would you also call Milos Obilic, the assasinator of Ottoman sultan Murad I a terrorist?

Yes they are terrorists. And all the other people you mentioned are also terrorists.

And you can't "enslave" land BTW.
