Will NGP suffer the same fate as the PSP?

Looking from previous experience, COD might be a decent seller on portables, but not even close to home consoles. There're CODs on PSP and DS, all (?) of them have online play and most of them are close or over 1M sold. Granted they're not as close to home console experience as likely NGP version will, but I severly doubt this kind of experience regardless of how close to original will fit handhelds well, thus sales won't be at 10M plus range. Good multiplayer experience on portables are Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart etc., except for Mario Kart all these games are doing great exclusively on handhelds.

And thing is: 3DS will get a 3D enabled COD version too, and if done correctly it may look sick. It may be a selling game for PSP2 but it will also be for 3DS.
