one of the top things in gaming that PMoff is when people reffer to the PS1 as a PSX. they are two different things

PS1/PS is the Playstation

PS2 is the Playstation 2

PSX is a system that only japan had and was a 'super PS2' if you like (google it)

PS3 is Playstation 3

People were calling the first playstation PSX long before the actual PS2 DVR released.  It was referring to its codename Playstation Experimental.  SCEA even wanted that to be the name and called it PSX in early promotions.
