Well I wouldn't count it out. But as of right now no not even with Kinect. 360 really is a hot and cold sales wise, I mean its either going really good, or mildly mediocre. That's not to say the other systems haven't had similar patterns it just probably seems more apparent with the 360 because its been on the market longest. What I'm trying to say is sales are looking good now, but thats not to say that they won't drop down dramatically like next week for example. This generation has been unpredictable and I don't really know what to expect. America is looking really good right noe but if 360 doesn't gain some ground in EMEA and Japan it won't stand a chance. At this point I do think its possible that Kinect will end up a burnout. Just IMO of course.
My predictions:
2011
Wii - 17 million
360 - 15 million
PS3 - 14.5 million
2012
Wii - 15 million
PS3 - 13 million
360 - 11 million
2013
Wii - 12 million
PS3 - 11 million
360 - 9 million
New consoles launch Late Fall 2013
2014
PS3 - 6 million
Wii - 5 million
360 - 3 million
Just a guess, I think PS3 and Wii still have enough steam in them, while 360 although still kicking will lose some ground by 2014
Worldwide total by 2014
Wii - 133.1 million
PS3 - 90.6 million
360 - 88.8 million
