Are you aware what is presently happening in Lebanon? It is one step away from civil war and/or becoming another Iran run satelite state (with half or more of its population already in their hands).

The statement after the bolded alleviates that. Lebanon was a working democracy for a bit there, just that Hezbollah's presence destabilized it. A Lebanese system without a powerful Islamic Extremist party in the mix could be more sustainable
