Though I didn't do it until my 3rd playthrough, I'll agree that the stakes of the Suicide Mission feel a lot more urgent because the most challenging battles in all of the Insanity playthrough are on Horizon and the Collector Ship. Knowing that you have to face them again is just intimidating after what you've experienced.
