Well its obviously the US. Less soccer riots, good food, people have more rights here than anywhere else, and we create the best video games, movies, music, and porn.

US also helps and donates more than any other country in the world. Too damn much in my opinion considering most of the world doesn't seem to appreciate it.

Per citizen(and maybe collectively) UK certainly rivals the US...QUEEN, Beatles, Led Zepplin, ACDC(born in UK, then moved to AU), The Zombies, The Who, Rollingstones, Iron Maiden, Ozzy....you get the point.

Music is subjective. I personally never cared for those bands. Nor did most people. But clearly its been a while since some relevant music came out of the UK.

True, music is subjective.  So too is the statement that american music trumps all.  In terms of vast genres and current music you're probably right.  For a that time frame in that genre, I'd argue UK was overall better(except Johnny cash). To some this was the golden age of music.

It seems bold to say most people didn't care for that era of UK bands.  Beatles after all were bigger than Jesus.
