Same reason as with FFXIII - the main focus for 360 sales for SE is the West and they want to keep local fans who complain about it being on 360 happy so they make it exclusive in Japan (timed) and release day/date in the West.
I'm not saying I agree personally with this but this is how they handled the FFXIII release and I'm curious if they're going to repeat it or simply - now FXIII is multi on all regions - release it day/date everywhere. If I was them I'd do the latter, but the precedent is there for them to do otherwise and I'm curious if they repeat the FFXIII release pattern.
Versus sounds like they're going to go fully timed - PS3 first all regions then "gasp" a 360 version after all. Whether a company is being timed on 360 or timed on PS3 as a consumer I do wish they'd drop the whole pretense bullshit. If Biochock is timed - fine - just let me know. If FFXIII is timed - fine - just let me know.
Well, not fine fully as I personally completely dislike timed exclusives and see them as bad for us consumers and of no value at all to us, but you get what I mean - at least be transparent. The whole "no plans for 360 version... no plans for PS3 version... hey, there is one after all" scenario is just disingenuous to the end consumer.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
