great post :) about the UMD thing, not sure if they would continue with it, but a physical medium is a MUST for me to make it a worthy purchase.

Cloud service idea is a very good one I think.

Dual nubs are the most important gameplay mechanics wise...BUT I think the rumor of backpad/trackpad if true is a really good idea, I say this because different and unique means of input can lead to interesting gameplay mechanis implimented in the games which can lead for the platform to standout better

and contrary to the above poster, I believe all companies build HW based on a 'concept' not perticularly games. Sometimes the concept they focus on pays off sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure what Sony's approach this time would be, but my guess/hope as a true fan of the PSP is that it will boast nice visuals (yea yea I know, some may whine saying no visuals don't matter for a portable etc etc. But I like great visuals on the Go, I like to have a feeling of truly next gen if I'm to pay more than 200 bucks for a device) and will have greater connectivity between it and the ps3. Imagine ( I know you can do this already but I'm talking doing it better) playing VC4 on your HDTV via the psp2->ps3

However it all boils down to the games for us as gamers, and Sony isn't known for having the most amazing line up from the get go but I have enough experience and trust in them to know some amazing games will be coming to the system for PSP as much as naysayers might like to ignore, had some truly amazing games

oh and full PSN integration is a MUST imo

anywho great thread dude :)
