Yeah it does. I dunno about Tales of Vesperia's co-op, but I do know it's a great RPG regardless. I think it may just be in battles, you can have up to four players, each controlling one of the party members in a battle.
Also, the Lego games have fun co-op too. Your wife might like them more than anything else that I listed.
