Yes, I'm sure the danger of people getting blitzed and blind-firing into a forest on their property at night while it's foggy are a real concern.

You can't legislate the stupid out of stupid people. The same thing could be said for motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, off-road trucks, continue ad nauseum.

Except those don't have as a main purpose hurting and killing people.

That doesn't make them any less dangerous in the wrong hands.
