Nope, your strictly regulated by the story. You'll have time limits placed on every mission and this will just constrict your sons freedom to roam around. It also doesn't help that your restricted to one base point, you have no transportation methods and that the game lacks auto-saves, which could mean that you might have to restart from your last manual save if you die.
I really enjoyed it, but I also had to be very patient with it and it can get frustrating sometimes.I don't recommend that your son plays Dead Rising 2.
Get him Infamous or Saints Row 2 or something.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
