I don't tip, because in Japan nobody tips. :) Nice, eh?

And if so-called "friends" of yours won't go to eat with you any more, because of that, I wouldn't even call them friends any more. If the service is good, you can/should tip, if the service was bad, why the hell should you reward that? Makes no sense.

Yah I'm not really friends with him and my other friend anymore. But we were really good friends when I stopped tipping.

I actually still tip about 10% of the time. I tip for two reasons. One the waitress pays attention to me "Theirs this one waitress at a bar I go to, she knows exactly what I like and tells me if theirs deals on it. Also I order similiar items each time so she knows my order. I tip her, I also tip the small mom and dad resteraunts, where they run the whole resteraunt I feel like tipping them because they don't make much money and if the service is good its worth tipping.

But with tax raises and all I've found myself tipping those two people less times these days too. I just can't justify giving money to someone who gets the same wage I do.
