The only way I could see this being near $299 now is if Sony ignores the pricing of similar, non-gaming devices, and focuses solely on the 3DS. The 3DS will have an easily marketable feature that the PSP2 won't, and the PSP2 will always seem somewhat lacking to the average consumer in that regard. I think to combat the marketability of Nintendo's 3D screen, they'll have to be priced within $100 of the 3DS. Hopefully they'll be thinking something similar, for my wallet's sake.
