Bulldozer should be good though. I'm frankly amazed that AMD can still sell Phenom IIs against Sandy Bridge at a profit though. Even if BD brings them up to Nehalem level they should be perfectly fine. Coming May.

They fired their CEO because of their lack of direction in the mobile segment and the fact that he sold off their mobile division.

Anyway Bulldozer had better be good though Llano being a 32nm Phenom II ought to be good for the low/mid range market. I suspect that Intel has sort of been letting them survive more than anything, had they wanted to im sure Intel could have dominated the sub $200 market also.

Intel has to let AMD survive. If AMD crashes, the competency agencies could separate the factories and the designing teams into two companies as AMD has done, or they could make the X86 licenses free to improve the competency. Intel is the most interested in keeping AMD alive.
