heh. Obama had no chance to begin with.

He had to take a completely destroyed country from Bush to the probably worst time possible.

You can compare this with a building. Ripping off a building is only a matter of seconds. Rebuilding it will take years. Ripping off that building is basically what Bush did. On top of that the economic crisis felt exactly in his period. You have to feel sorry for him.

I'm no fan of GWB, but if you think HE destroyed the economy, then you have little grasp of how the economy OR the U.S. Government works.

First, if you want to take the short-term view (which is what most people incorrectly do), then the economy really began to tank in the latter part of the GWB term when the DEMOCRATS had control of the House of Reps.  FYI, all spending originates in the HOUSE, not from the president.  Hmmmm......

But no matter, people will continue blaming Bush for the economy unfairly, just as they unfairly blame Obama.  Anyone who has actually followed economics and knows how it works understands that the seeds of this destruction (or "ripping off" as you so eloquently stated) were planted DECADES ago, and both Bush and Obama had to deal with it - quite ineffectively I might add.  Even WHEN this ecomomy continues to improve (as it is now) it will only be temporary.  The real problems have yet to be addressed and all Bush/Obama are did was bandage it up.

For the record, I dislike both presidents, but neither of them are at fault for this mess.  But, oh well, keep parroting that same, incorrect "Blame Bush" view.  It'll make you popular with you (equally misinformed) friends.
