He's saying that until Nintendo can provide enough inventory to meet demand, they're leaving money on the table for each unit sold, which is absolutely correct.
The initial going price through the holiday 2011 season on Ebay will either confirm this (most likely) or Nintendo was just about right on as far as estimating and matching production rates to consumer demand.
