Is this a joke, your blaming Sony for trying to protect their interests. George Hots wanted to put homebrew software on his PS3, for himself right, so why did he distribute that hack online?? i dont disagree with what he did, but if it was just for himself, why did he distribute it.
Sony are a company, they protect their interests, okay maybe their tactics are harsh, but what if you tried to steal from a store, or tried to stow away on an aeroplane - those companys would prosecute you and the court would throw away the key.
the other thng is Sony have lost billions with the PS3, providing an excellent console and an excellent service, and their first party games dont sell as much as Nintendo's, and those developers livelyhoods should be protected. because developing games is expensive!!!
