admittedly the new issues are indeed from the new hacks and the fact that activision are not usin dedicated servers and their game was pretty much left open, as many people was causing havoc on balckops even before that even, like you said using glitches to their advantages, just give sony some time to implement their banhammer system, and activision are trying to put all the blame on all the game issues just on the hack which is far from the truth if i remember correctly the 360 had similar problems as well before but now they ban all hackers, im just fed up of people on the internet spinning this out of all proportion |
We'll see how it pans out, if more and more of the PS3 titles get hacked in similar fashion to MW2 then you know the activition is not to blame for the lack of their dedicated servers. If anything, it would be easier to patrol the dedicated servers to prevent such hacks for exploiting for too long. I think that so far only the COD titles have been affected due to the fact that they are the most popular at the present. As I said it's a wait and see game, if hacks begin to appear on other games especially the first party titles then Activision's blame is rightly placed. I think the main difference is it's easier to patrol the dedicated servers, so the hackers get banned faster or there is a system in place that auto bans them like on PC, but the hack guard on PC Counter Strike servers was crap and took weeks, if ever to ban someone. So the admins were responsible for ensuring that the servers were playable.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
