Unlike Resonance Of Fate this one actually has something that resembles a narrative, a story. You know stories? I forgot what a story was while playing Resonance Of Fate. The battle system is actually fun and not repetitive like, again Resonance Of Fate. The art style is varied and inspired in Star Ocean 4 unlike Resonance Of Fate. I think your seeing a trend here. I hate to say it but the crash landing sequence had me hooked but don't want to get my hopes up yet.

The story isn't very good, so don't expect it to be because it completely falls apart mid way through. Just be happy it has a story and the story is at times enjoyable, you just experienced one of those times.
