Windows phone 7 is already an open platform. All you have to do is pay MS a 100 dollars to "developer unlock" it...lol
Now in MS's defence, for that price they do provide programming tools, phone emulators and other goodies for XNA app and game development.
I can see Gehotz not being interested after this..."What do you mean, I can't piss off a company with my hacks? Forget it then..."
