Then again, it could be compensating for that very thing that the release is taking so long.
It could be one of the MAJOR reasons we don't have a flood of releases. Seeing a film's CGI suffer, the way Babylon 5 did on DVD, would completely ruin the purpose of HD films.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
