This shouldn't even be an issue at all for new buyers if they keep games and if you trade games in you're doing it wrong anyway, that is far from the best use of money. |
How exactly do you think Lovefilm or Gamefly could rent games for PS3 anymore if they only work on 5 consoles? You could have rental copies that are unrestricted but then the pirates will have a backdoorinto this system to create unlimited uses.
Assuming this was ever implmented then you can say bye bye to rental services imo.
